As I was reading Captivating, this sentence popped out and spoke to me volumes. In the midst of everyone and doing and realizing that the person I thought would want to get to know me the most, actually hardly talks to me deeply, just made me realise why Quality Time & Conversation is so important to me and why I react quite badly when I don’t receive it from the people who I value in my life.

Yet to know that there is still one person whose fiery, deep and passionate love for me never dies, is the one thing that keeps me alive. It’s never easy to grow up, never easy to be a girl and emotional, never easy to juggle all the different roles but I can lay it all down at the feet of Jesus, who loves me so deeply that He sees me for who I am, His Beloved, and not what I do. Jesus take the first initiative to pursue me, to romance me, to talk to me and to speak to me so uniquely and cherish me…without me doing anything but just being the Beauty that I am to Him. =) I am special to Him.

Truly, I’ve not shared my deepest desire for a long time…people have asked but none have taken the time that is needed to bring out the precious thoughts out from the depths my heart. I will uncover it before the Lord…for He is close to the brokenhearted.

1st Day of the conference my takeaway was my identity…Who Am I? That if I knew that I was a daughter of the King of Heaven, I would put on the mind not of a pauper/slave but a mind of royalty – where is my POWER as a daughter of God!

2nd Day of conference (today) was two main revelations. First was that grace is given to ALL and that there’s a difference between one’s calling and one’s gifting. I have struggled so long in is my identity in certain giftings that I have as picked up from others and thus developed versus the “natural” inclination and ways that I approach people and God…that immediately when I received this revelation that my eyes were opened to what is God’s calling over my life and my gifting. Prior to this lately, I had already received partial revelation as I noticed within myself a change in the way that I ask the Lord and I pray and I worship. It’s not so much of what I do BUT who I am as I do it…so I’m really excited that this message to be shared with the rest so that they may also know God’s calling and walk securely in their true identity.

The second WOW revelation is about covenental relationship with those in authority/leadership. It finally reconciled the struggle within my heart as I grow in leadership of the Lord in the calling that God has put in me without feeling that I have overstepped my boundaries to those that are in authority. A person I respect, such as Bob who has the office of authority as my cell leader. The revelation I received has filled the gap that I have felt for sometime in the leadership at COOS, which is that people do not see themselves as leaders because it is an office of the leaders aka cell leaders, supervisors, ministry leaders versus EVERYONE is a LEADER because all have a unique calling on their lives in the Lord. Because of God’s calling in us, we have the grace given (for the building up of the Body of Christ) in various forms according to the purposes of God.

So basically what this means is that you have the calling into Leadership according to the grace given to you. To some, the grace of teaching, to others the grace of evangelism, to others the grace of caring for the sheep and others the grace of releasing prophesy. What is so beautiful is that all of us are able to receive all the difference grace as God has set in place the body of Christ were we are called to be in covenantal relationship with one another, submiting to authority (those in leadership office) so that we may share in each other’s different grace that has been given for the fullness of the Church. At the same time, it brings forth a culture of honor that honors each other not based on one’s authority but in submission to each other as we acknowledge that we are different gifts from God for the buildling up of the Body of Christ. Isn’t God Awesome!

Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him.

Luke 17:1-4

Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come.

It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.

So watch yourselves. “If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.”

I guess that’s my answer to any questions that I am faced with. Especially when one argues that in Christ we have the freedom and liberity to live not by the Law but by the Spirit. So practically, to me, that would be in my daily choices, I am free to do anything I want but I choose to do things that will bring honor and glory to God. Amen. Can’t debate with that…when the simple thing you want to do is just to honor God.

Luke 6:35-36, 45

³⁵But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. ³⁶Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Ever wondered what our response to life issues, often related to people around us, should be? I boils down to not what you do but who you are…sons of the Most High reflects God’s mercy wherever we face ungratefulness and wickedness in our daily life.

⁴⁵The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks.

May it be my daily prayer that I will store GOOD things in my heart that I may bring them out in refreshing for myself and those around me.

The basis of all is simply obedience to God as a son is obedient to a loving and perfect Father.
